Scope and Objectives


The Kaizen Company has been awarded the Reverse Trade Missions, Conferences, Workshops, Training and Other Events IQC. We are currently recruiting a professional with experience organizing and leading Reverse Trade Missions (RTMs).

RTMs host delegations from USTDA partner countries, taking them on trips to locations in the United States to learn about US technologies, services, products, and best practices. The objective of RTMs is to facilitate partnerships between the delegates' organizations and US companies participating in the RTM, promoting development while creating jobs and export opportunities in the United States. 

The RTM Project Manager will provide technical leadership of the RTM, including outreach to site visit hosts, producing the RTM agenda, leading check-in calls with our client, and ensuring that the RTM team has the information and resources it needs to prepare and implement the RTM. The RTM Project Manager will also lead the RTM, keeping the delegation on schedule and helping the RTM achieve it's objectives. S/he will also assist the Kaizen Home Office in preparing the RTM final report. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, International Studies or similar. 
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience, including experience planning and implementing delegation visits in the United States.
  • Experience planning events is a plus
  • Experience and comfort engaging private sector organizations, including research to identify the right contact, is essential. 
  • Professional-level fluency in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to work in cross-cultural environments is a required.
  • Although the ideal candidate would be based in Washington, DC, candidates based out of state may work remotely.
