Associate HR & Finance Coordinator

The Kaizen Company (Kaizen) is a small international development consulting firm located in Washington, DC. We aspire to transform the nature and impact of development assistance and work to strengthen organizations and institutions through innovative approaches to organizational development, reform, and change. Kaizen is currently seeking a full-time Associate HR & Finance Coordinator to join our team, preferably starting in May.

This position is best suited for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills. The Associate HR & Finance Coordinator must be comfortable working independently. The position requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. Salary will be commensurate with experience. 

This position is intended only for an individual who can travel to downtown Washington, DC each weekday.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate management of accounting files with an off-site accounting firm
  • Provide administrative support to program managers and program coordinators
  • Create efficient systems to maintain hard and soft copies of company documents
  • Serve as liaison between employees and benefits providers
  • Assist the Operations Director in oversight of company’s financials
  • Assist the Strategic Initiatives Director in oversight of the company’s human resource systems

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have at least one year of professional experience, which can include time spent at internships, volunteer opportunities, and places of employment
  • Must be a US citizen/permanent resident or must have visa allowing work for any employer
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
