Community Logistics Manager

Kaizen is seeking a Community Logistics Manager for a pending USAID project to provide functional and technical advisory support to USAID’s Global Development Lab’s Center for Transformational Partnerships (CTP) under the “Promoting Excellence in Private Sector Engagement” (PEPSE) program.  The PEPSE program will provide the CTP with the following program and technical advisory services: community-of-practice and knowledge management; data collection, analysis, and monitoring and evaluation; training and communications; and private sector engagement support to USAID offices and missions to advance their strategic goals, including public-private partnerships, credit guarantees, multi-stakeholder alliances, and approaches to leveraging private capital and blended investing models. The position is based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area with frequent travel expected to USAID Missions and Independent Offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of the planning, organizing and coordinating of PEPSE community of practice programs and events
  • Create and adheres to event project timelines
  • Prepare and maintains event budgets in line with the project budget
  • Report to the Communities of Practice Manager

Key Requirements:

  • University Degree is required in a relevant field of international development, including but not limited to International Affairs/Relations, Political Affairs, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other degree related to development assistance
  • A minimum of two years of experience in logistics and event coordination
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Confident decision maker and creative problem solver
