Ethiopia Learning Analytics Activity Overview:
Ethiopia Learning Analytics Activity is a $48 Million activity designed to bolster the capacity of
USAID/Ethiopia to work towards a Mission-wide systematic and intentional approach to
learning. The Activity will improve data management and help the Mission to make timely decisions in program design and implementation. The Activity will enable wider collective impact of USAID and other partners – thereby better meeting the Development Objectives outlined in the Mission's Country Development & Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). This is a five-year Activity that ends in April 2028.

Overall Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Senior Organizational Transformation Advisor will develop and maintain close collaborative relationships with all USAID/Ethiopia Mission Offices to provide select organizational transformation and capacity building services.

The Senior Advisor will also ensure the Activity’s resources and “menu” of offerings are aligned with the Mission’s short-term and long-term needs and utilized optimally. They will design and implement—under the direction of the Organizational Transformation Director— key organizational transformation strategies and initiatives – in close consultation with each Mission Office. They will raise awareness and build knowledge of new and emerging organizational development approaches and capabilities available to the Mission. The Senior Advisor will support the application of Lean Innovation and Agile Product Development (as appropriate) across key interventions – while building Mission staff capacity for innovation. This role will also support the Activity’s Learning and Innovation workstream on an ad hoc basis in helping the Mission apply learning and innovation to their work, in addition to contributing to cross-functional strategic communications efforts.

The Senior Advisor will report to the Director of Organizational Transformation and collaborate regularly with supporting cross-functional teams led by a team of field office colleagues, international subcontractors with industry-leading capabilities, and a network of local service providers. This position will be based in Addis Ababa.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of ten years’ experience with organizational development or related functions; or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of twelve years’ experience.
  • A minimum of seven years’ experience supporting clients with a full range of organizational development services and support.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong skills for planning and execution – driven to produce high quality work on time.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively – plus, respond to changing priorities and circumstances with flexibility and agility.
  • Strong client management skills with a successful track record of promoting collaboration across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting USAID Missions with organizational transformation initiatives.
